despite discovering how beige malta was after the small amount of exploring we managed to fit in on our first day in the country, when we decided to head into valletta the following day, i managed to - somehow - dress in the very same palette. my spring aesthetic has always been "pink and grey" anyway, and that's kind of all that makes up the perfectly-planned streets of valletta; bar a colourful door here and a pastel car there, the cobbled streets and stony alleys are all just basically the colour of sand. aka beige. in summary: it's suuuuper beige.
but, with an outfit this adorable, there's no way i wasn't going to wear it. i'd seen the dress on asos a month or so ago and then again a few days before we jetted off and it was marked down. couldn't have been happier! the grey marle is a spring staple, like i said, but the thing that really sold it for me was the flippen adorable ruffle hem! the shape (or lack thereof) of the dress isn't very flattering, because that would would be too much of a dream come true. instead, a belt and a knotted tee did the trick at reducing the sack-age, and giving me back my curves!

and the adorable slides? well. i was shopping with/for leanne a few weekends back when i suggested she try them on. and then i fell in love with them, and needed to have them for myself. and they are sooo comfortable! i wore these brand new shoes for two days while we were away and not once did they bajanx my feet. a second pair of sandals i brought totally did though, which pissed me off, but sliding these bad boys back on remedied that instantly. they have a slight foamy sole on them, and for real: i'll be buying more. i now want them in every colour. look at the detail on them: perfection!
