ok ok ok so, you'll remember i blogged about this gorgeous dress a week or so ago, right? with the international shipping i wasn't expecting it for weeks, and even ordered a petticoat (from china) to go with it which has a delivery time of up to three weeks - so how surprised was i to have it land on my desk on friday? only very! now for that petticoat...
with the torrential rain over the weekend, i struggled with a chance to wear it. come the beautiful blue sky on monday, the time was nigh! as i carefully dressed, and did my hair and make up, i was pleasantly surprised by the sturdiness of the fabric. cleverly reinforced around the bust, and with extra thick straps to cover the bra lines, the dress was flattering in all the right places!
it's perhaps slightly too long in the strap - this is more of a body defect than anything; it happens with a lot of strappy dresses, but ultimately, it is a really, really comfortable dress. the lilac is the perfect trans-seasonal colour, and who can resist a polka dot? the long cardi nearly didn't even get tied at the waist, but... come on. it's me. it looks totally adorable tied at the waist. i need some collar clips...
