a few weeks back i shared with you the outfits i styled as part of the #swapshopstyling challenge. thanks to vouchercodes.co.uk, i was set the challenge to re-style the pieces i picked up at the swap shop event a few weeks back (with a small styling budget!) and show how versatile other people's (and our own!) forgotten items of clothing can be with a little bit of re-invention.
well, the time has come to vote. most wanted want to know which of the swap shop bloggers you think has styled the best new outfit! head over to the competition page now, and cast your votes! to jog your memory, here's a peep back at outfits one, two and three, and then below, the three extra outfits i created with the other items i swapped...

i think this gorgeous mustard pussy-bow shirt looks bloomin' sensational with my hounds tooth (staple!) pinafore from last winter (ie. now). i have a number of monochrome dresses hanging in that wardrobe of mine (can anyone say 'polka dots'?) so i know that this piece is going to fit right in. it's a little snug, as per, but under a dress i can get away with undoing a few of the buttons. mu ha ha, etc.

shirt (vintage) c/o most wanted swap shop // pinny :: primark //pumps (primark) c/o vouchercodes // brooch :: handmade |
this powder blue vintage number had to come home with me. yes, i know, i hate blue. but, to be fair, i do love pastels, so. i'm allowed. it needs a good wash and an even better iron, true, but the shirt is too sweet! the shoulder/chest stitch (technical term?) is really retro and feminine, and i think it looks adorable tucked into my polka dot pinny. the glitter pumps give the outfit the complete "i'm an actual toddler" look, which is precisely the look i was going for.

shirt (vintage) c/o most wanted swap shop // skirt :: h&m // crown :: primark // shoes (ted baker) c/o vouchercodes |
you know why i picked up this shirt, right? yes. the collar. how fricken perfect is it! sadly, this shirt is waaay too small. it's got an oriental tag in it, so i can only assume it's korean or chinese in make, but as i lose weight i hope that it will fit soon! it looks too perfect with the blush pvc skirt i picked up last year (i think?) and my new favourite shoes. another winning combo!
