money supermarket have set us a challenge: create three outfits for under £200. one casual outfit, one holiday outfit and one party outfit. i'm sorry, £200? per outfit? doable. very, very doable. behold:
my casual outfit comes care of new look. the pretty spring palette of soft pinks and chambray makes my heart happy. with a crown and glory headband and ever ours ring (on sale for £1!) thrown in for girly pleasure, this outfits is a fricken bargain coming in at less than £100. i could've created a whole nother outfit with the change on this one! bargain hunter alert.
i saw this bathing suit at river island, and knew it had to feature in my holiday look. i'm not a swim suit kinda gal, but if i was, i would have this one. the pretty pastel marble look flatters the body with the slimming pattern and shape. and let's not forget the tummy trimming bottoms. thank you river island! i teamed the suit with neutrals and blacks, and a trusty wide brim courtesy of m&s; holiday look complete, and some change left over for the poolside bar... margarita anyone?
when i think party clothes, i think topshop. and when you look at the outfit price - double that of the casual outfit, for the same amount of items, there's a few other words that spring to mind too... that dress though! it's so much prettier in reality, with a soft organza flowery overlay and flattering, structured fabric... well, i have a few weddings coming up, and that just screams "spring wedding". the shoes and purse add a bit of glam while the ears just add my personality. i actually think this is my favourite outfit, so keep your fingers crossed for me that the lovely judges over at money supermarket love it too.. cos then it might actually be mine!
