last weekend marked the first birthday of this here patch of the internet. that's right, i've been at this blog now for one whole year. what started out as a way to give my facebook friends a break from my inane drivel has turned into a great little hobby that i very much enjoy spending time on, and one that others choose to read. being part of the blogging community has not only helped to boost my ego with all the wonderfully kind things i get tweeted or left in my comments on a daily basis, but i have honestly made a great deal of quality friends that i am slowly starting to meet in person. like this lot:
i had no idea what starting this blog would involve, especially considering i had zero experience with coding and the internet still seemed like a google box to me, but i am glad i made the decision to start writing - and i am truly impressed that i've successfully kept at it for the past twelve months. more so, i'm extremely grateful and overwhelmed to have gained so many friends and readers as i have over such a short time. so, as a special 'thank you' to all of you who read along every day with me, i have pooled together with some of my greatest blogging pals, and we have an epic birthday present for you.
